What it does

Tabular Editor 3 is the commercial evolution of Tabular Editor 2: a Windows desktop IDE for developing and managing Power BI and Analysis Services Tabular models. It adds a full DAX editor with IntelliSense and real-time validation, a DAX debugger, query and data analysis, scripting, and model optimization. It works with Azure Analysis Services, SQL Server Analysis Services 2016+, Power BI Premium, and Fabric.

Why use it

Use it when you want a richer, IDE-grade modeling experience than the free edition, particularly the DAX editor, debugger, and data-analysis features for professional semantic-model development.

Getting started

Download from https://tabulareditor.com/downloads and install. A fully functional 30-day free trial is available (no credit card); licensing details are at https://tabulareditor.com/pricing.
